The Lion is a family pub run by Fiona, David and Kieran (with Charity on standby) aided by the fantasic duo Mary and Andrew. You will find us (eventually) bang smack in the middle of Cliftonwood.

The pub itself is two hundred years old and we have maintained the old fashioned feel, including our open log fires, albeit with a slight modern twist. Our food is always prepared on the premises fresh to order and our Sunday lunches are pretty good too with Welsh lamb and beef from Crickhowell and pork form the Sheepway in Portishead. Our enclosed agarden recently subject to a makeover has the benefit of being next to a beautiful community park which is enclosed and great for the children. The Lion loves family, friends and community spirit....and cold beer, christmas trees, eccentrics, yummy wine, old stories and........what can we say the list goes on.....
