Welcome to The White Lion’s facebook page. Gemma and Michael Lonsdale have recently taken over the reins of this historic pub on Riley Street. It’s the couple’s first venture together after getting married 22 months ago and they hope to combine their 20 years of combined knowledge and use it to good effect. Michael has worked for Timothy Taylor’s Brewery and at many of Colne’s pubs down the years while Gemma started out at the White Bear in Barrowford before spending time abroad at bars in Mallorca, Stockholm and Tenerife. They have put together a brand new menu and aim to use as much locally sourced produce as possible. The lovely dining area seats up to 25 people and will also be available for small functions. Saturday nights will see entertainment at this popular pub, with a DJ one week and a live vocalist or group the alternate week. There will also be a Quiz Night every Thursday! The pub also has Free Wi-Fi available and also accepts all major credit and debit cards as well as having a “Cash Back” facility!
